These achievements create ripples of opportunity\, strengthening families and communities across Loudoun County.  \nThe need for literacy programs remains urgent:  \n\n143\,000 local residents struggle with limited English proficiency. \n\n\n72% of children whose parents face literacy challenges are likely to follow the same path. \n\n\n43% of adults with low literacy skills live in poverty. \n\nFor over 44 years\, Loudoun Literacy Council has worked tirelessly to address these challenges through programs that empower individuals and families.
