Volunteer

To become a literacy volunteer in either the Adult or Family Literacy Program at Loudoun Literacy Council, please complete the appropriate form above and a staff member will contact you.  Training sessions for volunteers are held three times a year.

Teach or Tutor Adult ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
No experience necessary, just a desire to help others and completion of our training which covers:
— teaching methods and resources
— fun, interactive activities that promote learning
— approaches for working effectively with a diverse, international student population

Loudoun Literacy’s next Volunteer Training will be

11am – 4pm
Ashburn

Fee: $25. This covers the cost of materials and program support. Your contribution ensures that the essential services of Loudoun Literacy Council continue.

Space is limited and we will be accepting registrations on a first come first serve basis until we are full.  To secure a space, please click on the link above for the ‘Adult Literacy Volunteer Form’. Answer a few questions about yourself and we will send you an invitation to register for the training.
